Allium chamaespathum Boiss.
Bulb solitary, ovoid, with whitish, papery tunics, developing a short new stem at anthesis. Stem 20–50 cm. Leaves 2 or 3, fistulose, ± withered at anthesis, sheathing stem up to inflorescence. Spathe 1-valved, caducous, but often wedged into uppermost leaf. Umbel spherical, many-flowered, 3–5 cm in diam.; flowers cylindrical, 4–5 mm, pale greenish. Inner 3 filaments 3-cuspidate.
